FINANCIAL PROFICIENCY AND PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS WORKSHOP

Accounting and finance are most business owners' least favorite activities and often the most critical. Regardless of your comfort level or experience with accounting and finance, this workshop will reinforce financial literacy with a focus on the key elements of financial performance metrics. We will review the updated reporting package and scorecard so that you are better prepared to plan 2025 financial performance and regularly evaluate performance monthly. We will focus on reading/understanding and analyzing the following financial statements.
— Profit and Loss Statement – we will focus on the P&L relative to annual business plans and the franchise system score card. We will highlight revenue breakdown by category, cost of goods by category and variable costs, fixed costs, breakeven and margin contribution.
— The Balance Sheet – we will review and discuss how the balance sheet and P&L are connected and how profit or loss impacts this statement. A better understanding of the balance sheet will help plan specific goals and hurdles that need to be cleared to achieve the goals
— Cashflow Statement – we will review and explain how basic cashflow planning can help to alleviate pressure, identify critical priorities and help with goals that align with both the P&L and Balance Sheet.
